Your ashes.

Your ashes

We walk down the path
Only the footsteps last
Once your ashes are underground

Never looking back
Focused on rocks and sand
Won't take long until we arrive

Gentleman goodbye
So many seasons, four times winter
On this day the sun must shine

A shovel in my hands
I have to leave you now and forever
Brave man, farmer, father, son

Carrying the ashes, never make a sound
Lowering the ashes, deep into the ground
Carrying a heartbreak, never thought i will
You are my father still

Cafeteria
Wonder where you are
Happy stories went outside

Stairs will carry me
Independency
Walking silently back in

Carrying the memories they don't need a sound
Following your footsteps to the underground
Couldn't sleep for days but one day i surely will
I need your voice here still

Here's your rocket in the sky
Late at night to say goodbye
To let you know i'm there
You can't go anywhere

For the last time now i'll try
To put a smile into the sky
To wash away the tears
And take away all of your fears
